Cleo’s Freight Order Execution to Close Freight Blind Spots

The solution turns disparate freight-order-to-invoice transactions into an early-warning system, so operations, dispatch, and billing teams can catch freight exceptions before they impact revenue or service.

Cleo announced Cleo Freight Order Execution, a new offering for asset-based carriers available through the Orchestration Edition of Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC).

The solution turns disparate freight-order-to-invoice transactions into an early-warning system, so operations, dispatch, and billing teams can catch freight exceptions before they impact revenue or service.

“A missed tender, an unnoticed volume drop, excess dwell, or a blown appointment window can mean lost revenue, unrecovered detention costs, service fees, and lower scores on shipper scorecards — all things that put contracts and relationships at risk,” says Mahesh Rajasekharan, president and CEO of Cleo. “These problems usually surface only after the damage is done. Cleo’s Freight Order Execution changes that. It gives carrier teams time to catch a missed response, an unexpected volume shift, or an at-risk appointment while there is still time to protect the load, the revenue, and the shipper relationship.”

Key takeaways:

·       Cleo Freight Order Execution connects the load tender, response, shipment status, and invoice into a unified freight order view, connecting the process, data, and multi-enterprise players through a single lens. This context provides the intelligence for carriers to take proactive actions before financial impact occurs.

  • Tender capture and response tracking flags unanswered EDI tenders before the EDI response window closes, protecting freight revenue opportunities before they are lost.
  • Anomaly detection flags material drops in tender volume by customer or lane against historical patterns.
  • Stop dwell detection uses EDI events to surface loads at risk of detention or missed commitments.
  • Appointment-risk detection flags at-risk pickup/delivery windows with time to reroute or rebook.
  • One execution view shared, evidence-backed view of each load for dispatch, ops, billing, and IT.
