Cambridge, MA October 22, 2001 The newly appointed Demantra CEO, William Seibel, is of no relation to the Seibel of Seibel Systems, the mammoth e-business provider, but that it not to say that he does not bring a comparable amount of experience to the table.
Demantra, a provider of consumer demand-driven supply chain solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, made the formal announcement of William Seibel's appointment to the post of CEO this morning. According to Demantra, Seibel has an established track record in building and rapidly growing both technology consulting and software product companies.
Before joining Demantra, Seibel was Chairman and CEO of e-business services company Zefer, a provider of both e-business vision and customer satisfaction. There he oversaw the company's growth to $113 million in revenue in the first full year of operation. Prior to establishing Zefer, Seibel was executive vice president of Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP) and one of its founding partners. At CTP he launched the company's international operations and led the Americas operating unit to rapid growth and profitability. Before CTP, Seibel was senior vice president of operations for Intersolv (Index Technologies), vice president of worldwide development at Dun & Bradstreet Software, and he held executive positions in information technology at Air Products and Chemicals.
Yoni Cheifetz, Demantra's founder and former CEO, will become chairman, and he will continue to be actively involved in the company. Commenting on Seibel's appointment, he said: "Bill's reputation as a software and services business leader is well-earned. He has demonstrated, time and again, a unique ability to combine innovation and vision with highly effective business development strengths. His skills, experience and leadership make him the ideal CEO for our company."
Seibel will lead Demantra's continuing and rapid growth in the established supply chain management (SCM) market, where approximately 100 Fortune 1000 companies have already adopted its consumer demand-driven supply chain solutions.
"Demantra," says Seibel, "has effectively positioned itself as a proven source for solutions that enable companies to generate accurate intelligence about current and future demand and use that intelligence to drive more effective supply chain planning and performance. I'm excited to be joining what I believe is a company poised for dramatic growth, and I look forward to leading that growth."
