SRM provider appoints new chief, inks alliance with DigiTerra

Milford, CN April 9, 2002 Eventra, a provider of supplier relationship management (SRM) software, this week named an SAP America veteran to head the company and announced a new partnership with systems integrator DigiTerra to offer a direct material SRM solution for mid-market companies.

Eventra named James Bensman as president and CEO. Bensman was the first president of SAP America, and most recently he served as president and chief operating officer of Maconomy, an enterprise software company headquartered in Denmark, during that company's initial public offering (IPO).

Bensman's previous stints at the top of the executive ladder include president and CEO at Geotrain Corp., and CEO at Sales Technology, a division of D&B. Bensman was also the founder of Western Data Systems, an applications software company specializing in aerospace defense.

Meanwhile, Eventra and DigiTerra, a wholly owned subsidiary of CIBER Inc., have signed a formal supplier alliance agreement offering clients a joint implementation methodology using Eventra's SRM solution, VendorSite.

Through this partnership, Eventra and DigiTerra will jointly deliver an SRM solution with an expanded scope of services intended to streamline the implementation process, reduce project time allowance, increase supply chain management productivity levels and result in a return on initial project investment. Those services include system selection, operational assessment, application and system integration, project management, SRM product solutions and technology solutions (RF, barcode and integration platform).

In addition, DigiTerra is working with Eventra clients to perform process improvement studies of how client facilities are utilizing VendorSite and how these clients can leverage additional features and functions to further maximize their investment.

"By partnering with DigiTerra, we can now offer clients a broader range of services and rapidly scale our pre- and post-sale capacity to meet the growth expectations of the post-recessionary economy," said Stuart Sawabini, Eventra's chief strategy officer. "The array of services offered by DigiTerra complements the needs of our clients and affords them a variety of options in enhancing and expanding the value of their SRM system over time."

Currently, DigiTerra and Eventra are working to develop a standard interface between Eventra's VendorSite and J.D. Edward's OneWorld systems.
