IT Procurement Gets More Direct

e.conomy makes MoreDirect preferred supplier

BOCA RATON, FL.  PRNewswire  December 18, 2000  PricewaterhouseCoopers' B2B e-marketplace, e.conomy, recently finalized a supplier agreement with MoreDirect.com, an IT product procurement solution. According to the agreement, MoreDirect will become the preferred provider of IT products to e.conomy's corporate membership.

The MoreDirect solution aggregates inventories of IT wholesale distributors and selected manufacturers, creating an online procurement source. Now, e.conomy members will have access to IT products from all MoreDirect manufacturers, including IBM, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba, Microsoft, Lexmark, Cisco, and Nortel. MoreDirect also offers transparency benefits such as the ability to access current inventory information, including comparative pricing, available quantity and product specifications directly from IT wholesale distributors and manufacturers.

Since its December 1999 launch, more than 450 corporate members joined e.conomy.
