The new version of Grainger.com goes live with BroadVision

February 27, 2001 -- BroadVision, a provider of personalized e-business applications today announced that the next generation version of Grainger.com has gone live on BroadVision applications. BroadVision collaborated with Grainger, the B2B provider of maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies, to transition from the old site to the new Grainger.com.

The BroadVision suite of e-business software applications used within the Grainger site includes BroadVision Business Commerce(TM) and BroadVision One-To-One Publishing(TM). These applications are designed to reduce the cost of order processing, contract administration, and customer service. The BroadVision platform is also integrated with Grainger's inventory systems, providing the company with customer order history and order status information.

"BroadVision's technology provides Grainger's customers with enhanced online search and ordering capabilities, smooth express checkout, online customer care and personal lists, as well as order history and order status," said Bill Zujewski, vice president of product marketing for BroadVision.
