Better Bank Performance

CA's interBiz releases new back office expense performance application for its Bank Performance Management suite

ANAHEIM, CA December 11, 2001 interBiz, the e-business applications division of Computer Associates International, Inc., today announced the newest application of its Bank Performance Management suite, the Activity-Based Analysis (ABA) module. ABA provides back office managers with a profitability tool that helps them improve upon non-interest expense performance by providing expense analysis, resource and capacity utilization, processing center efficiencies and productivity benchmarks.

ABA integrates data from disparate sources to create meaningful information allowing managers to make mission-critical decisions on resource allocation and redeployment.  The module offers performance metrics for: volume statistical analysis, cost recovery analysis, productivity analysis, and expense per unit analysis.  It also aligns certain quality indicators and other relevant information against the performance metrics to look for patterns or trends against performance results.  Some examples include: error and reject rates, turnaround and response time, employee turnover and customer satisfaction.

"While this stand-alone module was designed to complement the Bank Performance Management suite of products, it can be applied to any back office system in any industry where costs need to be contained," said Mike Hattery, interBiz consulting director.  "With a very short integration period, ABA focuses on processing efficiencies and getting critical and relevant cost information to managers."
