Roswell, GA April 30, 2002 Hi-Mark Software, a provider of travel reporting software and services, is partnering with eCLIPSE Advisors, a travel procurement solutions provider, to combine their data analysis and consolidation services in the name of helping corporations maximize their travel expenditure cost-savings.
Under the terms of the agreement, eCLIPSE will use Hi-Mark's data-consolidation and reporting software to enhance its travel spend analysis capabilities for large corporate clients, while Hi-Mark will market eCLIPSE's proprietary travel management solutions to its corporate customers.
By marketing the eCLIPSE products, Hi-Mark aims to increase sales of its data consolidation services to corporations. The eCLIPSE solutions Hi-Mark will offer to clients include the DACODA product for air procurement, Lodgic for hotel procurement and DACODA GT for car procurement.
For its part, eCLIPSE believes that by using Hi-Mark's data consolidation technology it can be more effective in advising its clients on how to save money through negotiating more profitable contracts and extracting the greatest possible value from travel-related processes and procurement, according to the company's chief operating officer, Michael Boult.
Nine-year-old Hi-Mark's flagship product, TravelMan, consolidates complex data from multiple information systems and displays that data in graphical reports to allow a corporation or travel agency to analyze travel spending and identify ways to cut costs, for example, by negotiating better contracts with suppliers.
Philadelphia-based eCLIPSE's solutions monitor air, hotel and car schedule and/or pricing information and blend this information with clients' shifting business needs and travel patterns to guide travelers to the right supplier, while a reporting package provides insight into incremental savings and incremental opportunities, compliance offenders and contract performance information on a regularly scheduled basis.
eCLIPSE also recently announced a marketing relationship with Sabre-owned GetThere, a provider of Internet-based corporate travel procurement systems. Under the agreement, eCLIPSE's DACODA will integrate with GetThere's online corporate travel system using a pathway that GetThere created to automatically upload market-based supplier preferences.
In the past, large corporations have manually entered these parameters into their online travel management systems to identify which suppliers should be used by travelers for certain destinations. GetThere will refer customers to eCLIPSE when the combined solution matches specific needs. eCLIPSE said that through this combined offering, corporate travel managers and procurement professionals will be able to use DACODA to analyze and negotiate their preferred airline portfolio and update their online reservation system with the latest point-of-sale strategy.
