Philadelphia May 21, 2002 Two corporate travel procurement solution providers have teamed up to offer an integrated solution that the partners said can increase travel savings for corporations as it maximizes compliance.
eCLIPSE Advisors is integrating its DACODA travel procurement solution with Highwire's eponymous corporate online self-booking solution. As a result, eCLIPSE and Highwire claim that their clients will have the ability to bolster their relationships with preferred travel suppliers and more effectively manage their overall travel spend.
Corporate travel managers and procurement professionals will be able to use DACODA to analyze their travel spend against their preferred airline portfolio and then apply this analysis automatically in Highwire. In this way, Highwire is regularly updated with the client company's most current strategic purchasing strategy, enabling that company to better manage its travel dollars. The system will dynamically adjust employee usage of various travel providers according to negotiated travel volumes and company needs and requirements.

Boult said the joint solution would make it unnecessary for companies to manually enter supplier preferences into their online travel management systems or simply resign themselves to an imperfect, inefficient pattern of supplier usage. Instead, ideal supplier preferences are identified and automatically uploaded into the reservation system, which can save time and effort while optimizing supplier relationships."
