Richmond, CA January 13, 2003 QRS, a provider of collaborative commerce solutions to the retail industry, has rolled out a new solution intended to automate business process monitoring and problem resolution.
The provider said its QRS Insight solution monitors enterprise systems and databases, detects problems, alerts the appropriate users, enables collaborative resolution and escalates issues as necessary. The solution also provides reporting and analysis based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
QRS said that Insight works with most major enterprise applications and databases available today, including QRS' own solutions suite. The solution allows retailers and suppliers to use real-time monitoring agents to track critical operational and transaction issues that can be triggered by specified conditions, such as orders that are at risk of shipping late, invoices that don't match purchase orders or inventory that is below or above planned levels.
If the system detects a problem, it immediately alerts the appropriate users via e-mail, pager or wireless device. Users can then access a Web-based tracking and collaboration tool to resolve the exception.
If the problem is not resolved, the system automatically triggers escalations and provides collaboration and escalation histories. Insight also offers performance management and reporting to measure performance across the supply chain through KPIs.
"QRS Insight lets companies get the most out of their existing infrastructure by minimizing blind spots, shrinking response times and improving performance through faster, better decision-making," said Liz Fetter, president and CEO of QRS.
Insight is available now.
