Outdoor gear outfitter implementing solution to extend functionality of line of business system

Colorado Springs, CO — July 23, 2003 — Optika Inc., a provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software, today announced that Cabela's, an outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will implement the Acorde product family for its Accounts Payable and Corporate Outfitter's order processing, including an integration with the company's JDA Portfolio enterprise business system.

Cabela's will initially implement the Acorde product family in two areas-accounts payable and the business-to-business sales group. Within the ECM Accounts Payable solution, Acorde will automate Cabela's manual invoice approval processes. For the business-to-business sales group, Optika said Acorde would manage the end-to-end value-added service order processing.

Cabela's future plans for Acorde include implementing the solution across the enterprise, including rolling it out to many back-office and customer-facing areas of the company.

"We are confident that Acorde will enable us to improve our processes, reduce the rate of paper growth in our organization and allow us to process an increasing number of transactions with the same number of people," said Phil Harris, project manager of Cabela's. "By leveraging our JDA system, we will have a solution that will drive reduced operational costs and provide enhanced collaborative opportunities in key areas of our business."
