Rite-Hite launched PitMaster Vertical, what is said to be the food and beverage industry’s only full-time, pit-mounted under-leveler seal designed for traditional vertical dock leveler applications.

“Food safety extends beyond production areas into the loading dock where product moves in and out of the facility,” says Joe Brooks, product manager at Rite-Hite. “PitMaster Vertical helps address a longstanding vulnerability at the dock by maintaining a continuous seal along the pit floor. That consistency supports compliance efforts and gives teams greater confidence during daily operations and inspections.”

Key takeaways:

·        A drive-thru dock design anchored by a Rite-Hite vertical dock leveler maintains controlled dock conditions.

·        Unlike other under-leveler seals that mount to a vertical leveler and engage only when the leveler is lowered into the trailer, PitMaster Vertical remains sealed whether the leveler is stored or in use.

·        Installed directly in the pit, the system closes off the fourth, bottom side of the dock opening to help block dust, pests and debris that can compromise sanitation and inspection readiness.

·        Supporting FSMA and USDA compliance along with GFSI-aligned food safety programs, PitMaster Vertical is ideal for vertical leveler applications commonly found in food and beverage facilities.

·        Designed for demanding dock conditions, PitMaster Vertical works with most standard vertical dock levelers and supports end-load applications, with easy removal for washdowns.
