Retailer Analytics and Engagement for the Consumer Goods Market

Suppliers can benefit from the same actionable intelligence used daily by the world's top consumer goods companies

Mountain View, Calif. and ChicagoMar. 7, 2014Retail Solutions Inc. (RSi), a global provider of cloud-based, big data analytics and real-time intelligence for the consumer-products industry, announced its new retail reporting functionality tailored specifically for meeting the needs of the small to medium enterprise (SME) market, bringing suppliers of all sizes the same actionable insights that more than 500 large CPG enterprises turn to RSi for every day. The RSi Chicago office is going to be home to the sales group focused on attracting and servicing SME customers.

The RSi Chicago staff is to be joined by dedicated sales representatives in the United Kingdom and China to introduce the SME solution internationally. This group is responsible for rolling out RSi's new offering tailored to provide companies with real-time visibility into its business health through a series of dashboard reports. The RSi SME solution gives small retail teams and/or individuals the ability to simplify and enhance the cumbersome daily reporting provided by retail portals to better address their most vital business needs, ensuring that distribution voids, on-shelf availability, new product introductions and promotion execution have complete visibility down to the individual store.

"SME suppliers are under the same pressures as large suppliers, but with fewer resources," said David Harker, senior director of business development, located in the United Kingdom for RSi. "Now suppliers of all sizes are able to drive supply chain efficiencies and sales through our turnkey solution, which optimizes trading performance and addresses lost sales.”

Every day, RSi processes billions of records from nearly 100 major retailers at 130,000 locations worldwide. Using its proprietary process, RSi collects, cleanses, harmonizes and enriches this daily stream of consumer-demand signals, and serves this information up via reports and applications designed to drive usability and action. Leveraging the science, algorithms and patented technology the company honed during the last decade, RSi developed a suite of turnkey reports for SME suppliers. Now SME suppliers can use RSi's solutions to execute and track the performance of key business drivers, and better communicate and collaborate with retail partners.

The RSi Chicago office and SME operations are to be led by Andy Mathews, vice president of sales for North America. The rapidly expanding Chicago office, now with 10 full-time employees, joins a growing list of offices throughout the world that RSi opened to better service clients, address retail partner requirements and satisfy general market needs.

"We see tremendous opportunity to tap the SME CPG market both in the U.S. and abroad," said Mathews. "Our presence in Chicago provides RSi with close proximity to many consumer-goods companies located in the American Midwest, and offers a central hub for quick and convenient domestic and international travel."
