MavenWire’s LogisticsWired Brings Oracle Transportation Management to the Cloud

Multi-tenant version of OTM meets growing market demand for TMS delivered as SaaS

King of Prussia, Pa.—July 18, 2012—Enterprise transportation management solutions provider MavenWire launched LogisticsWired, a cloud-based solution that allows rapid deployment of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). LogisticsWired combines Oracle Transportation Management’s best-of-breed functionality and technology with the accessibility of Software as a Service (SaaS), to give customers the deep functionality and ease of use of Oracle Transportation Management in a low-risk solution.

LogisticsWired customers can have OTM up and running in 12 weeks. This solution allows for allocation of operational—rather than capital—expenditures. The solution does not require an increase in IT staff or infrastructure investments. LogisticsWired will bring the industry’s best-in-class Transportation Management Systems (TMS) solution that historically was not accessible to everyone to the wider market.

Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems” report noted a growing demand for TMS delivered as SaaS, “with user attitudes shifting from SaaS as an option to SaaS as a preference.” This preference is not only due to a lower upfront investment but also “the importance of prebuilt carrier networks inherent in SaaS.”

“As supply chain professionals increasingly focus on cost containment, transportation planning and increased efficiency, LogisticsWired offers a solution that brings cutting-edge Oracle Transportation Management technology to the cloud,” said Samuel Levin, Co-founder and Managing Director of MavenWire. “With the focus shifting to SaaS options for TMS, MavenWire’s LogisticsWired is positioned to meet that demand, bringing the breadth of functionality and best-in-class performance of Oracle Transportation Management to customers seeking improved fiscal responsibility and increased efficiency.”

LogisticsWired provides operational planning, execution and freight settlement in addition to operational reporting and proactive monitoring of the transportation network. These features improve operational efficiency, reduce transportation costs and empower customers to have better control. In addition to the 12-week fixed-scope implementation, LogisticsWired is also available as a custom implementation model.
