Barcoding, Inc. and Lucas Systems Team Up

Partnership will deliver next-generation voice picking solutions to increase warehouse productivity

Baltimore – Aug. 15, 2011 – Barcoding, Inc., has entered into a strategic alliance with Lucas Systems, Inc., to offer Jennifer VoicePlus voice-picking solutions for the warehouse. With the addition of this application, Barcoding can offer its warehouse management customers a next-generation voice-picking solution that will increase productivity and efficiency while reducing distribution center costs.

  • Under this partnership, Barcoding and Lucas Systems will jointly sell and market Jennifer VoicePlus, the first voice directed warehouse application built to run on open, industry-standard mobile computers rather than single-purpose, voice-only hardware.
  • Jennifer VoicePlus is optimized for standard mobile computers, allowing customers to run Jennifer applications on the same terminals they already use for non-voice radio frequency (RF) applications. This provides additional cost savings and flexibility compared to traditional voice-only solutions.
  • For warehouse managers, Jennifer includes a complete suite of process reporting, productivity and other management tools –the Engage Management Services Console – that complements and extends existing warehouse management, labor management and other back-end systems.

Shane Snyder, vice president of sales, Barcoding, Inc., said, “Jennifer VoicePlus is the perfect extension to our mobility offerings for warehouse operations. Through this partnership, new and existing Barcoding customers will receive the full advantage of Jennifer’s next-generation voice-plus capabilities that drive higher ROI and lower total cost of ownership than older voice-only systems.”
