AFN Logistics has opened a new office in downtown Chicago, accommodating 70 team members. With the new office, AFN expects to bring 85 new jobs to the greater Chicagoland area by the end of the year.
The expanded staff will serve the needs of the third-party logistics company's growing customer base.
"Chicago is a booming transportation and technology hub, and as AFN continues to grow our already strong presence in the city, we want to ensure our offices are perfectly situated for Chicago's hotbed of logistics and technology talent," says Lisa Watkins, AFN's vice president of talent.
In addition to accommodating future growth, the new location is intended to facilitate an enhanced work/life balance for the company's team members, and will provide a convenient meeting location for its customers, carriers and business partners.
"Providing added flexibility for our team members and the customers we serve is one of the many ways we are delivering on AFN's purpose of 'continuously improving lives through supply chain solutions'," explains Owen Schnaper, AFN's CEO.
