Megan Rudolph, regional senior director of parcel operations for Saddle Creek Logistics Services, was named a recipient of the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ Award, presented by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, and sponsored by Let’s Talk Supply Chain, in the Trailblazers category.
Rudolph maintains nearly 15 years of experience in parcel supply chain solutions, e-commerce distribution strategy, data analytics and strategic partnerships.
Since assuming direction of Saddle Creek’s parcel team three years ago, she's been instrumental in building out optionality and visibility for the company’s parcel program and developing a department road map to ensure the team prioritizes the right initiatives to support both corporate and client goals.
For instance, Rudolph has grown her team to 9 associates. In the past three years, she has significantly expanded the program, increasing the number of fulfillment clients that utilize Saddle Creek’s parcel services by 20%.
Rudolph leveraged changes in the carrier market to renegotiate contracts – resulting in significant savings. In addition, over the past year, her team has added additional parcel providers to further diversify the carrier mix, which helped one food and beverage client save $1.6 million in the past year, in addition to $2.7 million from leveraging Saddle Creek’s rates and rate shopping. Carrier diversification helped another client to save approximately $900,000 annually, on top of $2.3 million in previous savings from rate optimization.
Under Rudolph’s direction, the parcel team implemented real-time tracking, which monitors Saddle Creek’s ability to deliver on customer experience.
She mentors emerging leaders, champions diversity in hiring, and speaks openly about the value of women in leadership roles within logistics. And, she participates in the company’s Emerging Leaders program.
Rudolph sat down live at the 2025 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ with Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, founder of Let's Talk Supply Chain podcast and Blended Pledge program, both presenting sponsors of the Women in Supply Chain award, to talk about growing a team quickly and effectively and why wearing lots of hats helps leaders find their niche.
