Peregrine Systems, Inc., provider of Get.It!(tm) Employee Self Service Weblications(tm), has formed a strategic alliance and equity investment with ZoneTrader.com, a b2b market site for used and surplus business equipment. With the combination of ZoneTrader.com's service and Peregrine Systems Get.It! and AssetCenter, customers will be able to manage the entire lifecycle of their assets from e-procurement through e-disposition.
Peregrine Systems customers who wish to retire capital assets through an auction or acquire used assets through Peregrine's Get.It! e-business applications.
AssetCenter customers can utilize ZoneTrader's disposal services including the auction capability. Additionally, assets managed by AssetCenter also include a complete procurement, maintenance and repair history. This information differentiates these assets from other used equipment and increases the resale value for the seller. "Companies can now take control of every aspect of the product's lifecycle, including retirement, to maximize the benefit of these resources and reduce the total cost of their corporate infrastructure," said Douglas Powanda, executive vice president of worldwide operations of Peregrine Systems.
