San Francisco, CA July 24, 2002 CascadeWorks, a provider of services supplier relationship management technology, announced the launch of a Managed Service Provider (MSP) alliance program called Clarity. The company said the program addresses the growing trend among Fortune 1000 companies to outsource management of critical services, including their contingent workforce processes and supplier networks, to service providers.
With an initial focus on the $149 billion staffing industry, CascadeWorks MSP alliance members Core Staffing Services Inc., Glotel Inc., KPMG Consulting, MATRIX, PrO Unlimited and Resource Solutions are combining their practices with CascadeWorks' technology to provide the managed service.
CascadeWorks said Clarity is going to shorten fulfillment cycles, attain substantially improved fill ratios and reduce co-employment risk for its users. In addition, MSP alliance members will increase savings and improve service quality for customers by reducing maverick hiring and eliminating process inefficiencies and paper systems.
"A recent poll of senior staffing industry executives showed that 93 percent have or see a need to have a strategy for supplier managed services," said Bruce Steinberg, research director at Staffing Industry Analysts Inc., a Los Altos, Calif.-based provider of data on staffing industry trends and markets. Regarding the type of alliance programs that CascadeWorks provides, he said there is indeed a growing demand for technology-enabled supplier managed services among Fortune 1000 companies. "Those Fortune 1000 companies are motivated by using a comprehensive technology to improve productivity throughout their human capital supply chain."
