Bedford, MA — May 22, 2003 — Asset management specialist MRO Software has launched a Consultant and Partner Certification Program that establishes competency standards to deliver implementations of MRO's MAXIMO solution.
MRO said the certification program was developed during the past year with input from the provider's professional services group, partners, support staff and customers. The program includes testing on product architecture, reporting, database configuration, systems administration, work management, preventative maintenance, asset management, work flow and supply chain.
The test is available through a network of 3,500 testing centers operated by Prometric, a provider of testing and assessment services.
Benefits of certification will include access to MAXIMO support information and updates, an extended network of resources through other certified partners and validation of an accredited MAXIMO skill set.
MRO said that several of its partners have already enrolled in the certification program, with IBM Business Consulting Services, Rockwell Software and EMA Services among the first companies to pass the test. In addition, all MRO Software professional services consultants completed certification by the end of March.
"IBM is pleased to have contributed to the development of MRO Software's Consultant and Partner Certification Program," said Peter McCall, an associate partner in the enterprise asset management practice at IBM Business Consulting Services. "As a certified partner, we can now offer our customers additional expertise in the implementation of a solution using MAXIMO."
"Customer satisfaction depends on the quality of the work delivered during a MAXIMO implementation," said Bill Sawyer, executive vice president of operations for MRO Software. "The Certification Program ensures that MAXIMO 5 Certified Consultants are trained to reflect our professional services standards and have demonstrated mastery of the subject matter necessary to deliver a successful implementation."
