DEACOM to provide panelized and modular home manufacturer with software for ERP and accounting
Wayne, PA — January 6, 2006 — Summit Building Systems, a Kentucky-based start-up manufacturer of high-end panelized homes, this week licensed Deacom Inc.'s accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system.
The DEACOM software system is expected to provide Summit with order entry, item configuration, links to Summit's computer-aided design (CAD) system, production and scheduling, inventory control, purchasing, and all accounting functions within a single, integrated system.
Since 1999, Deacom has offered its manufacturing business software to component manufacturers throughout North America. Now Summit Building follows Builder's Choice of Alaska as the second prefabricated home manufacturing customer of Deacom.
According to the President of Deacom, Jay Deakins, Most manufacturers of panelized and modular homes have struggled to find ERP software that handles all their specific requirements. We have been able to use the work we have completed for component manufacturers and traditional manufacturers to provide a package that addresses all of the needs of these unique companies.
