Medical devices company taps consulting firm to support implementation of industry-specific ERP solution, best practices
Miami — February 22, 2006 — Medical devices company ABIOMED has tapped consulting firm Answerthink to assist in the purchase, implementation and support of EzLifeSciences, a mySAP All-in-One solution designed to streamline business processes and position the company for continued growth.
Headquartered in Danvers, Mass., ABIOMED manufactures circulatory support technology for patients in heart failure. The company chose Answerthink based on the strength of the consulting firm's life sciences experience and its preconfigured solution built on the mySAP software, according to Answerthink.
EzLifeSciences is an industry-specific offering from Answerthink based on best practices from SAP and customized for companies in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. It provides the benefits of a fixed-price, fixed-scope, fixed-timeline offering that is designed specifically to help life sciences companies achieve goals such as streamlining new product development and automating processes required for FDA approvals and regulatory compliance, Answerthink said.
ABIOMED is one of nine life sciences companies that have selected Answerthink and EzLifeSciences within the past year.
