Out-of-the-box maintenance app expected to improve maintenance efficiency, consistency and aircraft uptime
Burlington, MA — March 20, 2006 — Enigma Inc., a provider of aftermarket service and support technology, today announced availability of Enigma InService MRO, an out-of-the-box maintenance publishing and delivery solution that provides technical support information necessary for aircraft service and support.
The Enigma InService MRO product employs the same technology used to deliver ATA-compliant technical information to aviation maintenance shops and packages it for rapid implementation.
Enigma said InService MRO delivers information required for line, heavy and shop maintenance of commercial aircraft and engines, allowing airline maintenance facilities and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) shops to provide the highest level of service. The provider said the troubleshooting, maintenance and parts information that the software provides as an interactive technical encyclopedia helps to reduce maintenance and training costs while increasing aircraft uptime and ensuring regulatory compliance. It also consolidates the service manuals from various manufacturers into an integrated maintenance solution to reduce maintenance turn times, increase aircraft availability and improve productivity by up to 10 percent.
"In today's highly competitive airline market, technology is the best way to level the playing field and improve maintenance operations," said Jonathan Yaron, president and CEO of Enigma. "The dynamic nature of aircraft maintenance makes the cost and complexity of implementing new MRO solutions extremely high and has limited too many firms to paper-based or legacy systems. Enigma's InService MRO is giving more players access to the technology they need to boost efficiency and expand market share."
Yaron added that Enigma InService MRO has been designed to support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events. The software can also be deployed in 90 days.
Enigma InService MRO is based on the Enigma 3C Platform and utilizes a service oriented architecture (SOA) to integrate with existing information systems. InService MRO delivers ATA-compliant capabilities for the majority of aircraft models supporting the major aircraft manuals like: Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), System Description Section (SDS), Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalog (AIPC), Fault Isolation and Troubleshooting Manuals (FIM), Wiring Diagrams (WD), Structural Repair Manual (SPM), and Service Bulletins (SB). For engine maintenance, InService MRO supports the primary engine manuals including: Engine Maintenance Manual (EM), Engine Illustrated Parts Catalog (EIPC), Standard Practice Manual (SPM) and Service Bulletins (SB).
