To use manufacturing intelligence software from Vykor to model and optimize processes, analyze effects of design and sourcing decisions

Renton, WA — April 4, 2006 — Boeing Commercial Airplanes has signed a contract to use manufacturing intelligence software from Vykor in some of its manufacturing cost-analysis operations.

Vykor's technology is used to model and optimize the manufacturing process at large scale and analyze the effects of design and sourcing decisions. The results, according to the solution provider, are supply chain transparency, cost credibility and reduced total cost of ownership.

Using a combination of technology and professional services, Vykor maps, assesses and quantifies manufacturing processes and their associated costs, providing a client with a roadmap and a cost-benefit analysis for optimizing those processes.

Vykor says its software helps manufacturing companies manage risk by quantifying the effects of design and supply chain decisions. "Vykor challenges traditional methods where there is little visibility into how products are manufactured, enabling customers to make profitable decisions," the solution provider said.
