Homecare company taps Iasta for on-demand solution to drive cost savings
Indianapolis — April 18, 2006 — Homecare company ServiceMaster has selected an on-demand e-sourcing solution from Iasta to serve as a sourcing platform for driving cost savings.
ServiceMaster provides outsourcing services for residential and commercial customers through a network of over 5,500 company-owned and franchised service centers and business units.
After conducting an exhaustive market evaluation, ServiceMaster selected Iasta's strategic sourcing solution, Iasta SmartSource, running on a software-as-a-service model.
The ServiceMaster team had experience with various other e-sourcing industry tools previously, but the company tapped Iasta for its tools ease of deployment, functionality and support services capability.
With the combination of a suite of RFx and reverse auction tools, users at the company have been able to accommodate functional sourcing requirements with Iasta's e-sourcing experience. Since the deployment, the company has conducted several sourcing events that have driven cost savings and built internal momentum for adoption of the tool, according to Iasta.
"Iasta has a great business model that successfully melds support services with great product features," said Tammy Sneed, director of strategic sourcing. "You can tell that Iasta takes their customer's comments seriously by the way SmartSource is designed. The team does everything it can to make sure our sourcing experience is a success and reinforces our decision that we selected the right solution for ServiceMaster."
