Tire company taps HighJump Software and enVista for supply chain execution solution to gain better view of operations

Eden Prairie, MN — May 15, 2006 — Automotive supplier Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire is set to use a supply chain execution solution from HighJump Software for sites across North America as the company looks to gain greater visibility into its supply chain operations.

This project calls for logistics cost management company enVista to implement HighJump's Supply Chain Advantage suite in Bridgestone Firestone's facility in Ontario, Calif. This site serves customers in the western United States. Following implementation at the Ontario facility, Bridgestone Firestone plans to roll it out to other locations.

According to Jim Carroll, senior logistics system analyst at Bridgestone Firestone, "We expect that HighJump Software's solution suite will help us to achieve a new level of visibility into our supply chain operations while continuing to provide superior customer service."

Joel Garcia, senior director at enVista, suggested that HighJump's solution would be a good fit for a company like Bridgestone Firestone that deals with extremely high-volume, complex distribution. "We are confident that the HighJump system will help enable Bridgestone Firestone to remain agile, creating distinct competitive advantage," Garcia said.

Nashville-based Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire (BFNT) is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holding, whose parent company, Bridgestone Corporation, is the world's largest tire and rubber company. BFNT develops, manufactures and markets Bridgestone, Firestone and other brand tires.
