Implementation at memory chip manufacturer expected to increasing planning, operational efficiencies and shorten order responses times

Los Angeles, CA — March 24, 2005 — Adexa Inc., a provider of integrated supply chain and performance management solutions, announced that Powerchip Semiconductor Corp. (PSC), a manufacturer of memory chips, has chosen its Enterprise Global Planning Service (eGPS) to fortify its position in operational performance.

"We are really in the performance business," said Brian Shieh, president, Powerchip Semiconductor Corp. "Our memory chips enable PSC customers to increase the performance and capabilities of their own electronics products, and PSC's commitment to shareholders is that we will continuously increase our own operational performance to drive financial performance. Adexa will serve us well in this area by increasing planning and operational efficiencies and shortening order responses times, even as we expand capacities and diversify our product offerings."

Diversification is a core competency for PSC. The company has outpaced and outperformed all other Taiwanese DRAM producers by continuously delivering advanced designs and foundry services for leading-edge electronics industry products.

As an early adopter of 300 mm production, PSC secured a competitive advantage that it has maintained by increasing production efficiencies and expanding capacities to serve a global customer-base. PSC's second 300 mm fab, 12B, which goes into full production mode later this year, will increase the company's monthly 300 mm wafer capacity to 80,000 units. The company also produces 200 mm wafers and CRAM and MRAM products for the consumer electronics and mobile devices markets.

"Powerchip has expanded its product lines and increased capacities in order to meet demand that can rapidly change from season to season, and even month to month," said Cyrus Hadavi, Adexa's president and CEO. "Adexa solutions enable PSC to react more rapidly and more profitably to changing demand patterns."
