Perfect Commerce announces new customer wins for Q1 2005
Kansas City, MO June 8, 2005 Perfect Commerce Inc., a provider of on-demand supplier relationship management (SRM) solutions, today said the company has added 24 new customer contracts in the first quarter of 2005.
Perfect said the agreements include expanded services and on-demand solutions with current customers as well as the addition of new clients.
According to Tim Minahan, vice president of market research firm AberdeenGroup, "Supply management organizations are increasingly adopting on-demand delivery models to fill gaps in their procurement capabilities and solution architectures." AberdeenGroup recently published a benchmark study in which they reported that on-demand solutions can be deployed 26 percent faster and at 50 percent lower cost than traditional software installation models.
DTE Energy, a Detroit-based diversified energy company, which recently completed a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance project with Perfect Commerce, said it is now extending its commitment with the provider to support its strategic sourcing initiative.
"Prior to our work with Perfect Commerce, DTE's supply chain process would have caused a material deviation from SOX compliance. We contracted with Perfect to help develop a complete set of policies and procedures to successfully address these issues," said Elwood Dail director, supply chain, DTE Energy. "Expanding Perfect Commerce's role to support DTE Energy's strategic sourcing initiative is a logical next step in enabling us to improve our purchasing process. Perfect's services and on-demand solutions will allow us to gain additional savings in our supply chain."
