B2B connectivity specialist establishes U.K. business unit to target midsize enterprises challenged by business compliance requirements
Pottsville, PA — July 18, 2005 — EXTOL International, a provider of business integration software for mid-market companies, has established a business unit based in the United Kingdom, with the new organization charged with expanding the enabler's market share in Europe and other international markets, as well as building and developing an international distribution and reseller network.
Providing B2B software to support a range of e-commerce capabilities, such as electronic data interchange (EDI), AS2, XML and UCCnet, EXTOL offers a business integration platform designed to help midsize enterprises take advantage of supply chain collaboration, partnership integration, and internal synchronization of data and business processes across disparate systems and platforms.
There are several deployments of Extol solutions in Europe by such companies as Banta Corporation, Volex and the U.K. divisions of York International and Schwarz Paper, according to the solution provider.
"The turbulent U.K. and European compliance solutions market, coupled with a rising demand for business integration services, tells us the time is right to create a U.K.-based organization to deliver Extol software to the companies in this region," said Dennis Bonagura, president and chief operating officer of Extol. "Supply chain initiatives of major [retailers] and large 'channel masters' have brought into focus the business agility and visibility needed by midsize companies to extract business value and business advantage through the application of integration technology."
Extol said it helps companies align applications and processes not designed to work together in order to achieve specific business objectives, including compliance requirements like EDI, data synchronization, application integration and other cooperative supply chain endeavors.
