International branded apparel company to deploy Iasta's sourcing tool

Indianapolis, IN — August 16, 2005 — Branded apparel manufacturer VF Corp. has signed a multi-year agreement with Iasta to use its sourcing technology after completing a successful pilot period that included reverse auctions and multi-location implementation/training and support.

"We were impressed by the responsiveness of the Iasta team and the strong functionality that was clearly apparent, especially in features such as line item lotting and post bid optimization, said John Lewis, vice president of Procurement, VF Corp. Our supplier feedback has been outstanding, which certainly has helped adoption and implementation of savings."

Iasta's SmartSource secure e-sourcing platform gives users the ability to streamline the sourcing cycle process and capture cost savings through the use of platform project and event management, e-RFx creation and template libraries, advanced reverse auctions and post bid optimization analysis and reporting.

David Bush, vice president of Business Development for Iasta, explained that the relationship works well for both companies. "Iasta's experience with Fortune 1000 clients over the last five years has provided the foundation for VF to achieve a return on investment in both the short- and long-term. We are very proud to have been selected as the preferred e-sourcing solution."

VF Corp., headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., also makes outdoor products, intimate apparel, image apparel and sportswear, such as Lee, Vanity Fair, The North Face and Vans.
