Adopts software-as-a-service model to reduce cost, complexity of implementing e-business platform

Chicago — October 4, 2005 — nuBridges, a provider of e-business community management solutions, has launched its flagship B2B connectivity platform, offering what it says is a low-cost, open source e-business application that uses a software-as-a-service model to reduce solution implementation costs by as much as 80 percent.

Providing a single view and a centralized control panel for business relationships, projects, connections and interactions with its dashboard, the truExchange solution offers an alternative to in-house development and costly and time-consuming custom e-business implementations, nuBridges said.

"truExchange solves the problems of integrating, connecting and managing e-business partners and digital interactions without requiring an enterprise to abandon or change its mission-critical, legacy connectivity and Web applications," nuBridges said in announcing the solution. "The truExchange service-oriented architecture allows flexibility and extensibility not found in closed-source applications."

"Every CEO and division head wants to streamline and centralize their business from sales to payments and inventory monitoring," said Wain Kellum, CEO of nuBridges. "But they're blocked by the sticker-shock of custom development. We're shifting the equation: Fast. Near-zero entry cost. With certified open source components and an agile architecture designed to accommodate the constant changes of real-time business operations, we help eliminate the problems associated with poor information flow between trading partners."

nuBridges said its technology team certifies and tests open-source components reconfigured for interoperability in order to protect customers from the associated risks of open source components and to provide better usability and integration than code downloaded straight from open-source sites.

The truExchange platform is the cornerstone of nuBridges' e-business offerings, which include a suite of compliance solutions to meet various industry mandates for commerce and reporting. Specific service layers include: secure transport; journaling to support event management; workflow management; exception tracking; role-based authentication; messaging; and monitoring along with a complementary network of transport protocols, including a value added network that recently celebrated 12 consecutive months of 100 percent uptime.
