HP, eOn Communications ally to distribute multi-media contact center solution in Asia
Atlanta — May 10, 2004 — eOn Communications, a provider of voice, e-mail and Web-based communications systems and software, has signed an agreement with Hewlett-Packard's China unit under which the two companies plan to work together to deliver contact center solutions for the enterprise business market in China.
eOn and HP (China) are to begin immediately on partnering initiatives to jointly address contact center opportunities in Mainland China.
Jeremy Yu, general manager of HP China Systems Group, noted that eOn has years of experience in developing voice communications and contact center products. "Our relationship with eOn is strengthening both companies' offerings," he said.
The agreement allows HP (China) to market and incorporate eOn products into its offering to customers in China. HP and eOn will work together to introduce contact center solutions and respond to sales opportunities in the greater China market under the deal.
The two companies will also work together on joint marketing programs to build awareness for contact center products and services in the Asian marketplace.
Troy Lynch, eOn's president for Asia operations, said that the deal would combine HP's established reputation in the Asian market with eOn's contact center products and services to deliver communication solutions to the growing market in China.
