Marlborough, MA — July 26, 2004 — CooperVision Inc., a global leader in contact lens design, materials and manufacturing, said it has selected Kewill Solutions's Javalin Enterprise Ship (ES) solution as part of its technology strategy to support its expanding global supply chain.

CooperVision Inc., a division of Cooper Companies Inc., has grown into the fourth largest contact lens maker in the world and the world's No. 1 manufacturer of soft toric lenses. With revenue growth of 35 percent for fiscal year 2003, CooperVision's supply chain technology was under pressure to support the increased shipping volumes this growth created. With an accelerated international growth rate of 46 percent, CooperVision needed to ensure its international enterprise shipping requirements were also met.

"As a global leader in contact lens manufacturing, we ship tens of thousands of parcels a day to eye care professionals in the United States," said Joe Stannard, vice president of Logistics at CooperVision Inc. "With international regions being our fastest growing market, we needed a solution and a company that could support us globally. After extensive review we validated Kewill's market leadership position and domain experience. The combination of their advanced technology in the Javalin solution, implementation methodology, and customer support, made Kewill the obvious choice."

Javalin ES is the newly announced enterprise shipping solution that is built on the technology acquired from ShipNow Global Holdings, Ltd. It is an enterprise class, multi-carrier shipping management system that supports complex, high volume, multiple location, international and domestic shipping.
