Redwood City, CA December 16, 2002 Business analytics specialist Informatica is partnering with process industry solution provider Aspen Technology to give AspenTech customers the ability to consolidate and standardize data within the provider's Performance Management solution.
Under the terms of the alliance, AspenTech will embed Informatica's PowerCenter and PowerConnect software into its new Performance Management enterprise solution for manufacturing and supply chain operations. Performance Management is targeted in particular toward the chemical and petroleum industries.
"By embedding Informatica software within our new Performance Management solution, customers can significantly reduce the customization needed to transform large amounts of relevant information across the value chain from demand to fulfillment," said Rainer Gawlick, vice president of corporate marketing for AspenTech. "Embedding Informatica's products will help our customers transform data in real time for presentation and analysis so that they can gain substantial insight into the performance of their operations."

AspenTech's Performance Management solution, based on Informatica's products, will be available in the spring of 2003.
