To visualize and exploit the potential of active control of container circulation without risk and major investment, BOX ID designed the new BOX ID Starter Edition.

BOX ID Starter Edition introduces fleet-wide asset tracking, implemented as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, to immediately identify sources of disruption and potential for improvement.

Doing so equips a number of load carriers with digital asset trackers.

Key takeaways:

·       BOX ID relies on various sensors and technologies that enable seamless monitoring both indoors and outdoors. Additional data sources, QR codes and event notifications can be flexibly integrated. Depending on requirements, the software has read-only or no access to company data from telematics or ERP systems and is certified in accordance with ISO 27001 for information security and processes all data in compliance with the GDPR.

·       All BOX ID functions can be tested with the trackers installed as part of the Starter Edition, from managing devices and classifying assets to setting up indoor and outdoor zones to monitor with the software. Extensive functions for automated processing can be configured directly in the software by the user and without programming knowledge. This is made possible by an intuitive graphical user interface and numerous pre-configured sample automations. These include, for example, geofencing functions that trigger actions as soon as an asset leaves a defined zone.

·       With just 40 IoT trackers installed on load carriers, comprehensive data and insights into transit times and dwell times inside and outside the defined zones can be obtained within a very short time. Users can see at a glance when load carriers are affected by long transport or downtime and where the holding time has been exceeded. Inflows and outflows are made visible, as is the distribution of assets across all locations and over time.
