Ethan Treese maintains over 25 years of expertise in advancing how organizations approach supply chain risk management. From his early beginnings at Dun & Bradstreet to his current role as chief commercial officer, procurement at RapidRatings, he has led the strategic direction and execution of commercial operations, with a focus on procurement solutions. His day-to-day responsibilities include client partnership and strategic engagement; product innovation leadership; and commercial excellence and leadership.
Over the past 12 months, Treese has made significant contributions in advancing the supply chain risk management industry. For starters, he led a comprehensive reorganization of RapidRatings’ client-facing organization, which significantly changed how the firm delivers value to clients and partners. The transformation included creating new and specialized roles and resources focused on driving greater thought leadership, establishing dedicated client support teams, and implementing tangible change that have redefined expectations for strategic partnerships. Under Treese's leadership, RapidRatings has dramatically improved time-to-value for new clients. He played a primary role in driving developments in the company matching processes, significantly reducing the time between client onboarding and first risk insights. And, he implemented a more hands-on approach to client portfolio management that has transformed how RapidRatings delivers risk insights. By adopting this proactive stance, organizations can identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies that overall enhance their risk management capabilities.
Over the next 12 months, Treese plans to widely integrate proven best practices across RapidRatings’ client base by leveraging market insights and integrating a new model where organizations can self-fund more comprehensive supplier programs. He also plans to significantly expand the firm’s footprint and reputation in financial health risk management, and will focus on strengthening RapidRatings’ position at the forefront of supply chain risk intelligence by developing frameworks and proactively communicating external risk factors from tariff impacts to policy changes.
