President Joe Biden is expected to issue an executive order that will require the government to review critical supply chains, according to Financial Times. The order will aim to ensure that the United States in not too reliant on other countries for sourcing materials and technologies.
The rumored order follows President Biden’s “Made in America” executive order signed in Jan. that will support local manufacturers, businesses and workers, ensuring that that the future is “made in all of America by all of America’s workers.”
The White House is expected to take recommendations to develop steps in mitigating supply chain vulnerabilities throughout industries.
