Schneider Logistics to provide full Freight Management for World Kitchen U.S. and Canadian operations

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin Oct. 25, 2001 Schneider Logistics, Inc., a provider of technology-based logistics services and supply chain management, announced that it has signed a multi-year contract with World Kitchen, Inc. to provide full freight management for U.S. and Canadian operations. This constitutes a major client for Schneider, as World Kitchen is a global producer of houseware products that includes well-known brands like Corning Ware, Pyrex, Corelle, Visions, Revere, EKCO, Baker's Secret, Chicago Cutlery, OXO and Grilla Gear.

Under the agreement, Schneider Logistics will manage key aspects of World Kitchen's product shipment and delivery operations.  "This is what Schneider Logistics does best," said Chris Lofgren, CEO of Schneider Logistics.  "By analyzing World Kitchen's current processes, integrating advanced technology and creating unique solutions, we'll help the company further streamline its operations and enhance their ability to provide outstanding service to customers."

"We selected Schneider Logistics based on three key factors:  people, process and technology," said Randy Teesdale, Vice President, Distribution Operations for World Kitchen.  "Schneider Logistics' services will help us drive efficiencies in transportation and logistics, improve customer service, and create a platform for future corporate growth."

Schneider Logistics will manage the nearly one million shipments World Kitchen makes throughout North America each year.  Through supply chain engineering solutions and its SUMIT(TM) suite of logistics applications, Schneider Logistics will provide transportation management, carrier management, freight payment, cargo claims, performance reporting and systems customization.  And by creating full freight visibility across all modes, Schneider Logistics' routing tools will be implemented to provide optimal carrier selection.

To service World Kitchen's needs, a dedicated 15-person freight management team will be located at Schneider Logistics' headquarters in Green Bay, and on-site logistics analysts will co-locate at World Kitchen's Greencastle, Pa. and Monee, Ill. distribution centers.
