AT&T's 3PLs get powered

Waukesha, WI February 5, 2002 McHugh Software International Inc., a provider of real-time enterprise logistics management solutions, announced that Logistics Services, a business unit of Aftermarket Technology Corp., has selected McHugh's DigitaLogistix* to power its third party logistics (3PL) services for AT&T Wireless.

The implementation of DigitaLogistix* is part of a larger effort by Logistics Services and AT&T Wireless to replace legacy software with the Oracle enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and applications.

Logistics Services will employ McHugh's warehouse management, labor management, global visibility and logistics scorecarding systems to distribute AT&T Wireless cell phones, accessories and literature to retailers and consumers.

Logistics Services will also be the application service provider (ASP) to AT&T Wireless for McHugh's systems. For example, McHugh's LENS* application will give both AT&T Wireless and ATC real-time visibility to their inventory and distribution activities at ATC's Fort Worth, Texas national distribution center. McHugh's DLx* Scorecard application will enable both companies to monitor key operational performance metrics at the facility to analyze trends or potential problems to support improvement initiatives. In addition to the visibility and scorecarding applications, Logistics Services will use McHugh's DLx* Warehouse to optimize its distribution operations and McHugh's DLx* Labor to develop preferred methods and engineered standards, as well as real-time monitoring and reporting of fulfillment activities.

AT&T Wireless becomes the second of the three U.S. wireless telecommunications companies to use McHugh's DigitaLogistix* supply chain management solutions.
