Pasadena, CA April 1, 2002 eConnections has rolled out version 2.0 of its Quote Manager (eCQM) solution for the electronics industry supply chain.
The solution providers says that eCQM 2.0 offers electronics companies and their customers and suppliers a sourcing solution that provides real-time connectivity and visibility across the supply chain, with the goal of reducing quote cycle time.
New features that eConnections is highlighting in version 2.0 of the solution include real-time dashboards that allow, among other things, constant supplier response monitoring and expediting, as well as management by exception supported by instant views of detailed management exception lists.
Online, real-time analysis and management capabilities in the solution provide intelligence to help companies make better sourcing decisions, eConnections says, and contract pricing management allows partners to more effectively collaborate by leveraging their existing business relationships.
"Online strategic sourcing is a real-time, 'right now' process for making strategic supply chain decisions and managing partner relationships," said Rob Rodin, president and CEO of eConnections. "eCQM 2.0's tightly coordinated processes and communications effectively manage the extended supply chain."
eConnections says that more than 1,500 participating suppliers are using its Quote Manager solution, which the company says provides access to 15 million-plus part numbers and more than $12 billion in available inventory.
