J.D. Edwards takes its software across borders

Denver - April 16, 2002 - J.D. Edwards & Co. said this week that F.W.
Murphy, a manufacturer of instrumentation and controls, has begun deployment
of the company's integrated collaborative commerce suite of software
products (ERP, CRM and Advanced Planning) to manage its operations. The
announcement comes at a time when J.D. Edwards is also deploying its
customer relationship management (CRM) software solution at a number of
enterprises across the European and African regions.

F.W. Murphy has used the Financial Management and Manufacturing applications
of J.D. Edwards' OneWorld suite since 1996. According to J.D. Edwards, the
migration to OneWorld Xe will ease the integration of software within F.W.
Murphy and its business partners, and it will link the company with its
international sales offices, customers and business partners.

"J.D. Edwards' [enterprise resource planning] software has been the engine
for our company's IT machine for over five years. Their CRM and Advanced
Planning applications were the best choice since the pre-integration will
dramatically reduce the time and money we would otherwise invest in systems
integration," said Mitch Myers, vice president of operations at F.W. Murphy.
"Our vision is to ultimately link all international operations together
using J.D. Edwards applications."

F.W. Murphy will migrate to J.D. Edwards OneWorld Xe, and install the
Advanced Planning Order Promising module and J.D. Edwards CRM this year at
facilities in Oklahoma and Texas.

As for J.D. Edwards' foray into the European and African markets, Loewe
Perfumes, a member of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey (LVMH) group of
companies, is the first customer in Spain to begin implementing J.D. Edwards

Additionally, Nampak, Africa's largest packaging manufacturer, the second
largest packaging group in the Southern Hemisphere, began looking at an ERP
system two years ago and has since selected J.D. Edwards CRM and OneWorld
ERP solutions.
