Chicago August 16, 2002 Newark Electronics, a catalog distributor of electronic components in the Americas, announced this week that its global parent company, Premier Farnell plc is partnering with Fluke Corp., a manufacturer of hand-held test and measurement equipment.
Newark said the partnership is the first global supplier agreement for Fluke and the first global agreement in the test and measurement category for Premier Farnell. The agreement is designed to drive significant growth for both companies worldwide, targeting new opportunities in the emerging South American and Asian-Pacific markets.
"The scope for Newark and Farnell to work so closely with Fluke's Industrial Group provides fantastic opportunities for growth" said Mike Ruprich, CEO of Newark Electronics. "We look forward to a long, successful relationship that enhances the positions of both Fluke and Premier Farnell."
This is the 40th global supplier agreement for Premier Farnell, following the company's strategy to strengthen support for its suppliers and market its products on a global basis. The deal was signed on July 18, 2002.
