Indianapolis February 10, 2003 Catalog retailer Brylane has made new executive appointments intended to strengthen its supply chain and product development management team.
Brylane, a subsidiary of Redcats, the home shopping division of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, markets and distributes apparel and home furnishings for various mail order catalogs. With over $1.6 billion in sales, it is one of America's largest catalog retailers.
The company named Christophe Gaigneux to be executive vice president of the special sizes apparel group and Kevin Doyle as executive vice president of merchandise support.
Gaigneux will be responsible for leading the product development initiatives for the Lane Bryant, Roaman's, King Size and Jessica London Catalog divisions. Gaigneux is currently apparel director for La Redoute in France, where for the past four years he has helped revive the company's apparel group. Doyle will be responsible for updating and guiding the company's direct merchandise supply chain. His responsibilities will include global sourcing, technical design and quality assurance, and corporate liquidations, as well as inventory management practices and policy. Doyle joined Brylane in 1975 and has managed product development, inventory, merchandising and marketing functions.
Both Gaigneux and Doyle will serve on Brylane's executive committee, and they will report to Russell Stravitz, the company's chairman and CEO.
"The expertise of these two executives will strengthen and enhance our supply chain platform and our product development strategies," said Stravitz.
