New ERP System From Adonix

Enterprise-wide solution tailored to mid-sized process manufacturers, according to provider

Pittsburgh, PA — May 29, 2003 — Adonix, a provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for mid-sized companies, today announced its new Adonix X3 Process Suite, the first product release emanating from its acquisition of CIMPRO from MAI Systems in December 2002.

Adonix X3 Process combines the features of Adonix X3 (a Web-native ERP suite that integrates manufacturing, distribution, warehouse management, customer relationship management (CRM) and finance), with application features that address the needs of the process manufacturer, according to the provider.

Adonix said the latest release supplements Adonix X3's features with such capabilities as formula management for handling variable units of measure, weight calculations, raw material potency and other attributes, packaging variations, cost analysis, expected yield and by-product management; lot control and tracking, with expiration date management; and quality management to meet customer-defined specifications.

Additionally, the Adonix X3 Pricing module adds support for promotional and other special pricing methods, while optimized planning and scheduling in both single and multi-site environments are available for more complex mid-market businesses.

Ganong Bros. Ltd., a mid-sized manufacturer of chocolates and confections based in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, went live with Adonix X3 for its candy-making operations earlier this month. "We were looking for a solution that was specifically tailored to our market," said Marc Lefebvre, vice president and chief information officer for Ganong. "We're expecting the system to help us improve efficiencies in planning, scheduling and production."

"It's been many years since process manufacturers have seen a new enterprise system tuned to their requirements," said "The debut of Adonix X3 Process offers mid-sized process manufacturers the Tier One functionality and technology required by large corporations without the complexity and at an affordable price."

Alex Attal, CEO Adonix North America, added, "Adonix X3 Process can help companies increase profitability by orchestrating company resources into quality products with increased yields, reduced waste, controlled costs and increased customer satisfaction."

According to Surdez, Richard Surdez, vice president, Process Industry for Adonix, the new upgraded software is designed for companies producing food and beverage items and chemicals.
