Walnut Creek, CA June 17, 2003 Ensemble Workforce Solutions, a woman- and minority- owned professional services firm, is tapping White Amber's labor management enterprise software to create a vendor-neutral managed solution for contingent labor.
Ensemble said the new partnership would equip it to provide Global 2000 companies with the strategy and tools they need to save on contingent labor, a large, complex and costly operation for most organizations.
The strategic relationship pairs Ensemble's contingent labor expertise with White Amber's automated systems for managing the hiring, administration and payment of temporary workers.
"Contingent labor costs reach far beyond direct spending, and companies are looking for solutions that can improve internal processes, manage risk, optimize the supplier base and balance the trade-off between cost and quality," said Ginny Velasquez, CEO of Ensemble and a 10-year veteran of contingent labor management.
Velasquez said Ensemble's partnership with White Amber will help her company to expand its interdisciplinary approach and vendor-neutral position. She added that she believes the combined offering could help companies save 25 percent on their contingent labor spend.
As a first step in a joint deployment by the two partners, Ensemble's team of contingent labor specialists will evaluate a company's process for hiring and managing contingent labor, and then identify new strategies and other savings opportunities.
Once the White Amber solution is deployed, hiring managers across the company will be able to source jobs though the centralized, online system, which manages critical contingent labor information, such as suppliers, rates, job descriptions and cost centers. This solution is designed to help an organization increase efficiencies while reducing both direct and indirect costs.
"Companies are aggressively moving to outsource how they acquire and manage contingent labor," said Michael Cruz, executive vice president for customer services at White Amber. "Ensemble's industry expertise, coupled with its status as a minority- and woman- owned business, is an extremely strong competitive foundation. Combining to provide an end-to-end solution gives enterprises what they need: smart strategy and an automated system for ensuring choice, efficiency, cost-savings and control."
