Defense and aerospace manufacturer automates SPC for real-time production data analysis

Chantilly, VA — March 9, 2006 — Raytheon Co., a global leader in defense, government and commercial electronics, business, and special mission aircraft, has selected InfinityQS International's Quality Suite solution to monitor, control and improve the quality of its manufacturing operations, reducing scrap and rework.

Raytheon said it required powerful, feature-rich analytics software to enable real-time process improvement for the production of silicon wafers with highly precise specifications.

The company said it is critical that the dimensions of its products are 100 percent accurate, and to meet this specification, Raytheon required that all the software in the manufacturing line be compatible. InfinityQS' open platform allowed for a smooth integration.

"Raytheon came to us with very clear specifications deemed necessary for their plants," said Michael Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. "Quality is a key component of wafer technology, and Raytheon concluded that our SPC software solution met their standards. We are delighted that a top-tier manufacturer has chosen our product to deliver the data analysis and quality assurance essential for meeting their core manufacturing objectives."
