Energy industry supplier taps ERP provider' solution for make-to-order functionality, fast implementation capabilities

El Segundo, CA — April 19, 2006 — Energy industry supplier AC Analytical Controls has selected Glovia's extended enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to manage its global operations as the company moves toward a single platform for running its worldwide business.

AC Analytical Controls provides dedicated chromatographic solutions for the worldwide petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. The solutions incorporate various techniques for separating complex mixtures.

Over the past few years the company's business has been growing steadily and, even as the company was running many disparate applications, it began searching for a single solution to manage its global operations. The company had strict timelines in which to implement a solution.

Ultimately, AC Analytical Controls selected Glovia, which met requirements in terms of functionality and the implementation deadlines. AC Analytical Controls selected Glovia in December, with plans to go live with the glovia.com ERP system in May.

Glovia said its support resources have worked closely with AC Analytical Controls personnel to keep the implementation on track. The company's headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands, will be the first operation to go live, with plans to roll the solution out globally over the next two years.

Currently AC Analytical Controls has multiple quote and order entry systems that are not integrated. The company found this to be very inefficient and looked to Glovia to provide a central database for all customer data as well as a worldwide view of all their inventories. The inventory functionality in glovia.com offers integrated, interactive management of all inventories and full visibility of all material movement throughout AC Analytical Controls operations, enabling a more efficient method of inventory management.

As many of AC Analytical Control's chromatographic projects are unique, it was of the utmost importance for the company to deploy a solution that could effectively manage its make-to-order (MTO) manufacturing environment. Glovia said that its solution enables the company to efficiently manage its operations by keeping production synched with engineering, and supply synched with production. By reacting to project changes immediately to rebalance supplies, resources and demands, AC Analytical Controls will be able to keep projects moving forward and deliver them on time and on budget, Glovia said.
