New supply chain suite from 7Hills offers more capabilities for small, midsize operations

Washington, DC — April 2, 2004 — Supply chain solution provider 7Hills today announced the availability of eBizNET supply chain suite, eBizNET-SC, targeted for small- to mid-sized distribution operations. The company said that while eBizNET-SC incorporates the functionality of tier one solution, it is packaged with the smaller distribution operation in mind. Its rules-based configurability and rapid implementation make it a good match for operations that require broad-scale functionality but the framework for a quicker and easier implementation exercise, according to 7Hills.

The eBizNET-SC suite can run autonomous or as a component in a global supply chain network.

7Hills said eBizNET-SC has a multi-client, multi-site framework so users can manage multiple client inventories under one roof in addition to inventory across a customers' entire group of distribution facilities.

The cornerstone of eBizNET-SC is the warehouse management system (WMS), eBizNET-WMS, which offers inventory management from procurement at the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) through post shipment when products are delivered to the customer's door.

The visibility feature, eBizNET-Dashboard, provides a customizable view of the key performance metrics relevant within a supply chain network. Examples include the ability to monitor service level compliance by vendor, outstanding returns, fill rate, usage, or aged and excess inventory with a range of additional metrics aggregated for viewing and interpretation.

eBizNET-Dashboard also incorporates an alert and exception management engine that notifies decision makers immediately on wired or wireless communication devices of their choice.

"The eBizNET supply chain suite was developed after years of implementing solutions for Fortune 500 companies. We developed eBizNET-SC with the functionality of a tier one solution but with an architecture to support small to midsize distribution operations that require a quick and easy approach to implementation, minimal capital outlay and the ability to operate on a single server across an entire distribution network", stated Bob Kennedy, CEO, 7Hills.

The modules within the eBizNET-SC suite can operate stand alone or as an integrated suite, leveraging distribution center operations requirements.
