Global leader in apparel and hardgoods finds software to grow with the company
Irvine, CA October 7, 2004 Contempo Limited, a company that sources and develops apparel and hardgoods, said it has purchased Epicor Software Corp.'s Enterprise Financials Suite, a suite of integrated accounting applications for the midmarket.
Contempo began as a Hong Kong-based apparel-buying agent in 1977, specializing in sweaters. Today Contempo prides itself on delivering quality goods to customers on spec, on budget and on time, and was particularly stringent in its evaluation criteria when looking for new accounting software.
Contempo said it required a solution that was flexible and scalable that could grow with the company, and, most importantly, included a report generator to supports global business requirements.
"We conducted an extensive research and review of a number of enterprise solutions, ultimately choosing Epicor for its ability to address our specific needs," said Francis Yam, chief financial officer for Contempo. "We expect that Epicor Financials will provide Contempo with tighter transactional controls and the scalability for our vertical and horizontal growth. In addition, we are impressed with its integrated financial reporting capabilities. It enables enterprise-wide reporting and consolidations."
The project, which currently involves Contempo's offices in Hong Kong and China, will also be extended to other offices worldwide, and the company may also consider deploying Epicor's customer relationship management (CRM) solution in future.
