Chicago — October 9, 2003 — John Galt Solutions has unveiled its new planning suite that will debut in the first quarter of 2004 and that includes forecasting capabilities along with reporting functionality to ensure compliance with government financial regulations.

The solution provider said that the new Atlas Planning Suite, incorporating its ForecastX technology, will include seven applications that extend John Galt's capabilities to an enterprise scale.

These applications include Demand Management Engine, to manage gaps between actual and plan; Inventory Management, to manage distribution and replenishment planning; Promotional Performance Management, to assess and monitor the effectiveness of promotions; and Rough Cut Capacity Planning, to identify gaps between demand and available capacity.

In addition, the suite's applications include Sarbanes-Oxley Act Reporting, to track and manage the financial implications of the plan; Sales & Operations Planning, to provide an integrated view of the enterprise; and The Planning Portal, to provide a consistent access point via the web.

Kai Trepte, vice president of sales and services at John Galt, said that the new suite would help the company's customers move their planning processes from spreadsheets to an enterprise level.
