System Design Advantage expands operations into Canada with global parts service

Bloomington, MN — December 8, 2004 — System Design Advantage, a provider of inventory asset management (IAM), parts replenishment and repair solutions, has expanded its operations internationally by opening four locations north of the border in Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

SDA's provides emergency spare parts nationally in the United States from multiple warehouse locations, serving such tier one OEM's as Dell, HP, Compaq and IBM, among others. The Canadian expansion of SDA's industry IAM and parts-pooling services is an industry first for the Canadian market, according to the solution provider.

SDA's Canadian and American locations are supported and managed by Choice Logistics. All the locations provide complete parts logistics, inventory control and 24x7x365 availability, SDA said.

"Excellent customer service and leading edge service offerings have been core competencies of SDA since the beginning of our relationship," said Lee Micks, director of major accounts operations for BancTec, SDA's first client in Canada. "By expanding its operations into Canada, SDA has once again exceeded our expectations and proved that the company is a creative, forward-thinking firm that is well positioned to create value for its clients through unique service offerings.

Micks said that SDA's expansion into Canada has opened a new window of opportunity for BancTec and has enabled the company to be more efficient in its penetration of the international marketplace. "We look forward to taking this service into Europe in the very near future," he said.

"We are committed to our customers in helping them reach their goals of lowering overhead, reducing inventory and increasing the level of service to the end-user," said Jim Sahli, CEO for SDA.

"SDA is continuing to bring new and innovative ways of improving traditional services," Sahli continued. "As a result, our customers have the ability to be more flexible and cost effective in servicing their existing clients, while expanding into new product types and geographical locations."
